  1. Conductive raw materials for motor windings

    Due to the different processes for producing copper rods, the oxygen content and appearance of the produced copper rods are different. The copper rod produced by the above cited process has an oxygen content below 10ppm (one million molecules), which is called an oxygen-free copper rod; the copper rod produced by continuous casting and rolling is hot-rolled under protective conditions, and the oxygen content is 200-500ppm. In general, the copper produced by this method has a bright appearance, and is sometimes called a polished rod or a hypoxic rod.

    Oxygen-free copper rod and upward lead method

    The above-mentioned method is a new process for producing oxygen-free copper rods. It was first developed by the Shanghai Cable Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry in China. It has advanced technology, good product quality, low unit energy consumption, flexible production varieties and specifications. It has the characteristics of strong adaptability, no pollution of three wastes and less investment. It is an ideal process for processing copper conductors and copper materials.

     
    Continuous casting and rolling process

    The full name of continuous casting and rolling is continuous casting and continuous rolling (English: Continue Casting Direct Rolling, CCDR for short), which is to pour liquid metal into a continuous casting machine to cast a billet (called continuous casting billet), and then without cooling, in The rolling process of the metal profiles rolled into the hot tandem mill directly after being kept in the soaking furnace for a certain period of time.

    About oxygen-free copper rod

    Anaerobic and hypoxic rods are easy to distinguish from the oxygen content. Oxygen-free copper has an oxygen content below 10-20 ppm, but some manufacturers can only achieve below 50 ppm. Hypoxic copper rods are 200-20 ppm. 400 ppm, the oxygen content of a good rod is generally controlled at about 250 ppm.

    The anaerobic rod generally adopts the upward drawing method, and the hypoxic rod is continuous casting and rolling. Relatively speaking, the hypoxia rod is more suitable for the properties of enameled wire, such as flexibility, rebound angle, winding performance, etc.; but the hypoxia rod is relatively harsher for the drawing conditions, and also stretches 0.2 filaments. Under bad conditions, ordinary anaerobic rods can be stretched, while hypoxic rods are easy to break.

    In the process of producing magnet wire and other products, the surface quality of copper rods also needs to be required. The surface of the drawn copper wire needs to be free of burrs, less copper powder and no oil stains. The quality of the copper powder on the surface is measured by the torsion test and the recovery of the copper rod after torsion is observed to determine its quality.

    In the process of continuous casting and rolling, from casting to rolling, the temperature is high and it is completely exposed to the air, so that a thick oxide layer is formed on the surface of the slab. During the rolling process, with the rotation of the roll, the oxide particles are rolled into the surface of the copper wire. Since cuprous oxide is a brittle compound with a high melting point, for deep cuprous oxide rolled in, when the strip-shaped aggregate is stretched by the die, burrs will be generated on the outer surface of the copper rod, which will cause trouble for subsequent painting.

    The oxygen-free copper rod manufactured by the upward continuous casting process is completely isolated from oxygen due to casting and cooling, and there is no subsequent hot rolling process. , the above problems rarely exist. In the process of electromagnetic wire testing, the compliance of materials can be basically judged by properties such as resistance, paint film continuity, and rebound; in addition, the selection of qualified suppliers will better reduce the cost of quality control.
