  1. Causes of heating and damage to motor bearings

          (1) The stator and rotor air gap of the motor is uneven
     
           For the stator and rotor air gap of the motor. We have talked about a lot of content, such as the effect of stator and rotor air gap on efficiency, vibration and noise, and temperature rise. When the air gap between the stator and rotor of the motor is not uniform, the most direct manifestation after the motor is energized is the low-frequency electromagnetic sound of the motor. Eccentric state, resulting in heat damage to the bearing.
     
     
         (2) Axial alignment of stator and rotor core
     
           This problem has a great impact on motors with radial ventilation channels with relatively long iron lengths. In the actual production and processing process, the rotor iron core floats due to the wrong positioning of the stator or rotor iron core and the thermal processing of the rotor manufacturing process. The bending of the motor causes axial force during the operation of the motor. In this state, the bearing of the motor runs abnormally due to the action of the axial force.
     
     
           (3) shaft current problem
     
           This problem has a greater impact on variable frequency motors, low-voltage high-power motors and high-voltage motors. The shaft current problem is also an old topic that we have talked about many times. The reason for the shaft current is the effect of the shaft voltage. There are two measures to avoid this problem, that is, to effectively reduce the shaft voltage from the design and manufacturing process, or to cut off current loop.
     
           If no effective measures are taken, the shaft current will basically be a devastating blow to the bearing. When it is not serious, the bearing system will show noise, and the noise will become larger; and when the shaft current is serious, the noise of the bearing system will change very quickly. It is that there will be obvious washboard-like traces on the bearing ring; the shaft current problem is accompanied by a larger problem, which is the degradation and failure of the grease, which will lead to the heating and burning of the bearing system in a short period of time.
     
     
          (4) Rotor slot inclination
     
           Most motor rotors are straight slots, but in order to meet a performance index of the motor, it may be necessary to make the rotor into an inclined slot. When the inclination of the rotor slot is large, the axial magnetic pull component of the stator and rotor of the motor will increase. , so that the bearing is heated by abnormal axial force.
     
           Of course, there are other reasons for the heating problem of the bearing system, such as heat dissipation, load, vertical motor bearing assembly, bearing installation, etc. We will discuss in detail in the next tweet.
