    Special requirements for end protection of high-voltage motors
     
    Relative to the straight side of the winding, due to the particularity of the shape and structure of the end of the high-voltage motor, the field intensity distribution at this position is destined to be uneven, and it is the most likely part of the high-voltage motor to generate corona. The disposal is relatively strict, and the maintenance of the later use process is also very necessary.
     
    In the process of repairing the faulty motor of the high-voltage motor winding, there will be breakdown problems from time to time due to improper handling of the motor manufacturing or repair process and poor post-protection treatment.
     
    (1) The distance between the winding end and the casing is too close
     
    The motor winding is in the iron core slot, that is, the straight side part of the winding. The insulation of the slot or the coil itself ensures the insulation performance of the winding and the iron core; the winding end and the iron core, the frame, the end cover and other components , a sufficient physical distance must be ensured to prevent corona discharge during motor operation.
     
     
    The corona is generated because the uneven conductor generates an extremely uneven electric field. In the vicinity of the electrode with a small curvature radius around the uneven electric field, when the voltage rises to a certain value, the discharge will occur due to the free air, forming a corona. Because the electric field around the corona is very weak and no collision and dissociation occurs, the charged particles around the corona are basically ions, and these ions form the corona discharge current.
     
    In the process of dissecting the faulty motor, it is found that the physical space of such faulty motor is particularly tight, and some are even very close to the casing or end cover; sometimes, in order to prevent the occurrence of grounding problems, pad insulation is added between the winding and the casing material, but this does not solve the underlying problem and may cause other problems as well.
     
     
    (2) Loose bandaging at the end and poor handling
     
    The wrapping of high-voltage motor winding coils has always been a very particular part, especially the coil ends. Due to the particularity of its shape, most motor coils can only be wrapped by hand, which increases the uncertainty of the wrapping quality of this part. , such as loose wrapping, insufficient number of cladding layers, and irregular lamination process, it will cause some air holes in this part that are difficult to remove, and corona is most likely to be generated.
     
    (3) Moisture of motor windings
     
    During the operation of the motor, the windings are in a heating state, and once the motor stops, condensation or moisture will enter due to the temperature difference between the internal and external environments. If the motor is running again, the necessary dehumidification is not carried out. Electrical breakdown.
     
     
    (4) Coil disposal of motor lead wire and winding connection
     
    From the analysis of the craftsmanship of the embedded wire, the coil may have necessary deformation due to physical space, and its insulation may be damaged in the process of deformation; This coil is the most likely cause of problems. Therefore, in the process of motor production, the first coil should be reinforced insulation control.
