Drilling and tapping of the motor base

Drill the foot holes first, and then process the ends, end faces and inner circles. The symmetry of the foot hole to the center line of the machine base is guaranteed by the adjustment of the machine tool.
Tapping can be done by hand, by machine tool, or by using a multi-head tapping chuck to tap several bolt holes at one time. The RPM of the tap is much slower than the RPM of the drill. Some tap seats are equipped with a safety device. When the tap hits the bottom or encounters too much resistance, it will automatically stop to prevent the tap from being broken.
Improve machine base drilling efficiency and accuracy
When the production batch is large, in order to further improve the productivity, a multi-axis drive chuck can be added to the ordinary drilling machine, or a multi-head drilling machine (combination drilling machine) can be used, and several holes can be processed at the same time in one clamping. The end face of the small machine base adopts a multi-head drilling machine, which is arranged symmetrically on the left and right, which can drill or tap the two end faces of the machine base at the same time. The machine base is roughly positioned on the intermediate body; when processing different machine bases, the positioning fixture on the intermediate body must be replaced. When drilling and tapping, precise positioning is performed by the left and right tower grommets. Each end of the drilling machine is equipped with eight drill rods, four for drilling holes and four for tapping, and their radial distances are adjustable.
In addition to manual loading and unloading of workpieces, the multi-head drilling machine relies on the cooperation of hydraulic and electrical systems, and the entire working cycle is automatic, with an average productivity of 5 minutes per machine base.
Drilling the pole hole of the DC motor frame
If the indexing of the magnetic pole holes on the DC motor base is not uniform, it will cause difficulties in the assembly of the magnetic poles and affect the performance of the motor. In mass production, the drill die for drilling the magnetic pole hole can move left and right in the carriage, and the carriage can move up and down in the V-groove. The indexing plate is used to equally divide the position of the magnetic pole hole on the base, which is positioned by the spring. The versatility of this fixture is relatively large. When drilling, first put the spigot of the machine base on the spigot tire, clamp it with the pressure plate, the shaft and the nut, and adjust the drilling die to the proper position. Drill two pole holes in sequence. Then, use the indexing plate to turn the base through the specified angle, and then drill the second set of magnetic pole holes. Continue in this way until all pole holes are drilled.
Some motor factories use self-made special internal drilling machines to process the magnetic pole holes on the machine base. The workpiece is vertical clamping. A set of drill bits drills from the inside out. After drilling one set of pole holes, the workpiece is rotated by a certain angle, and then the second set of pole holes is drilled. Repeat this cycle until all pole holes are drilled. This processing method makes the indexing of the magnetic pole holes on the inner wall of the machine base uniform, there is no burr on the inner wall of the machine base, the contact between the magnetic pole and the machine base is good, and the work efficiency is high.
