  1. Factors Affecting Temperature Rise During Manufacturing

    Winding dipping paint

    The dipping varnish not only strengthens and cures the insulation of the motor, but also fills the air gap between the winding turns and the winding to the ground through the advanced vacuum pressure dipping varnish equipment. Because the thermal conductivity of insulating impregnating paint is much greater than that of air, all the heat generated by the loss in the stator winding of the motor is mainly transmitted to the iron core through the winding insulation layer, that is, the impregnating paint, and the iron core directly conducts the heat to the motor shell and dissipates it.


    If there are problems with the pre-baking temperature of the motor, the viscosity of the paint and the dipping time, etc., it will lead to serious loss of paint dripping during the drying process, the gap between the winding and the core slot is not filled with paint, and there is a gap or even the winding in the core slot is not soaked. Causes a substantial rise in winding temperature. Because of this, the quality control of the winding dipping process has a very important impact on reducing the temperature rise of the motor.

    The stator iron core and the frame match

    The mating surface of the stator core and the frame is an important way to conduct the heat of the stator winding and the heat loss of the core. If the stator iron core and the machine base are tightly attached, the resistance to heat transfer between each other will be greatly reduced, and the temperature of the iron core will be reduced. Various defects often occur in the manufacturing process: data deviation in the diameter of the inner bore of the machine base, rough processing; uneven stacking of the stator core; when dipping paint, the residual paint layer on the outer surface of the iron core is too thick and so on.


    In addition to seriously affecting the coaxiality of the stator and rotor of the motor, another fatal defect caused by these defects is that the gap between the stator iron core and the frame increases, resulting in an increase in thermal resistance, making it difficult for the motor to dissipate heat and increasing the winding temperature.
